Horseshoe Bend – Arizona

“If God wanted us to bend over he’d put diamonds on the floor” – Joan Rivers.

One of the diamonds I found is the Horseshoe Bend.

Horseshoe Bend is located in the town of Page in Arizona. It’s in the shape of a Horseshoe and incised meander of the Colorado River. The overlook is 4,200 feet above sea level.

There is very little parking near Horseshoe bend and the hike is around ¾ mile one way.

It’s a Spectacular and a must visit.

There are a few hotels in the close distance if you want to stay at Page and also cover the Antelope Canyon, Glen Canyon, Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell.

Travel Tips

  • A little place to Park and there is no admission Fees.
  • Carry a water bottle and some snacks since the hike is around ¾ mile one way to the viewpoint.
  • Wear a hat and sunscreen as it gets really hot during the noon.
  • If traveling with kids, be very careful as there are no railings, so take care when nearing the edges.
  • It’s a great viewpoint and you can spend a few hours taking pictures and enjoying the place.
